Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: 18 July 2026

1. Who we are

lufi LLC (“we”, “us”), a company registered in Wyoming, United States, USA, operates medicalmalpracticeturkey.com (“the Site”). We are the data controller for the information described here. We are a marketing and referral service. We are NOT a law firm and do NOT provide legal advice.

Contact for all privacy matters, wherever you are located: privacy@medicalmalpracticeturkey.com. We respond to all requests, including those from EU and UK residents, within 30 days.

2. What we collect

Information you give us through our forms or our live chat assistant (Julie): your name, email, phone number, country of residence, the type of medical procedure you had, and a short summary of what happened. If you use the chat, we also keep a record of the conversation itself (see section 10). We also collect basic technical data (IP address, device/browser, pages visited) via cookies and analytics.

3. Why we collect it and our legal basis

We collect this information to connect you with independent law firms in Turkey that may be able to help you, and who will contact you about a consultation.

  • For users in the UK/EU: our legal basis is your explicit consent (UK/EU GDPR Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a)). Health-related data is “special category” data, processed on your explicit consent, except for the record of a chat conversation, which we keep on the basis of the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (Article 9(2)(f)), as described in section 10.
  • For users in the US: we rely on your opt-in consent and, where applicable, your authorization to sell consumer health data (see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy).
  • For users in Australia: we collect sensitive information only with your consent (Australian Privacy Principle 3).

4. Who we share it with, and international transfer

We share your information with one or more independent law firms located in Turkey, so they can contact you. Turkey is outside the UK/EU and may not provide an equivalent level of data protection. We rely on (a) your explicit consent to this transfer and (b) appropriate safeguards (UK IDTA / EU Standard Contractual Clauses) in our contracts with those firms. You can request a copy of those safeguards by emailing privacy@medicalmalpracticeturkey.com. The firms are independent controllers of your data once they receive it and are responsible for their own handling of it.

We do not sell your information to anyone other than the law firms described above, and only with your consent/authorization. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. How long we keep it

We keep the details you submit for no longer than [12 months] after collection, after which we delete or anonymize them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. We keep a minimal record that you gave consent (and its date) for longer, to be able to demonstrate compliance, and then delete it.

6. Is providing your information mandatory?

No — providing your information and giving consent is entirely voluntary. But because our service is to pass your details to a law firm, if you don’t provide them or don’t consent, we cannot connect you with a firm. Consent is not a condition of anything else, and you can withdraw it at any time (withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out before you withdrew, or data already shared with a firm).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and (US) opt out of the sale/sharing of your information and to limit use of sensitive information. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise any right, email privacy@medicalmalpracticeturkey.com; we will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (e.g., the UK ICO; your EU national authority; the OAIC in Australia; your State Attorney General in the US).

8. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and other reasonable safeguards.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and (if enabled) advertising. Non-essential cookies are set only with your consent. You can accept, reject, or change your choices at any time via our cookie banner or the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. See our full Cookie Policy for the categories, purposes, and providers.

10. Our chat assistant (Julie)

Our site offers an AI chat assistant called Julie. Julie is an automated assistant, not a lawyer, a doctor, or a human agent, and does not give legal or medical advice. A notice at the top of the chat tells you, before you start typing, that the conversation is saved.

If you use the chat, we keep a record of the conversation, including anything you choose to tell us about your medical treatment and what went wrong. We do this to understand your situation and, if you go on to ask us, to pass it to a partner law firm who can review your case. We do not store the conversation against your name unless you choose to give it.

Legal basis (UK/EU): for the record of the conversation itself, we rely on the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (GDPR Article 9(2)(f)), because the purpose of the chat is to help you prepare a possible medical-negligence claim for review by a law firm. If you then ask us to share your contact details with a firm, we rely on your explicit consent for that sharing, exactly as with our forms (sections 3 and 4).

We keep chat conversations for no longer than 12 months, after which the conversation is erased. We may keep a minimal, de-identified record afterwards (that a chat took place and its outcome) to understand and improve the service. You can ask us about a chat, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@medicalmalpracticeturkey.com; because chats can be anonymous, we may be unable to identify a specific conversation unless you gave us details that let us find it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new date above.
